While the Archangels reign over the whole of mankind, the Guardian Angels attach themselves to individuals. It is the Guardian Angels who watch over individuals’ spiritual growth throughout their lives and protect and defend their souls. Each angel may have been with a particular soul for many lifetimes, helping that individual to piece together the lessons of each lifetime, until, at last, it knows it is one with God. That knowing is called enlightenment.

Our Guardian Angel blesses everything that we do to nurture our spirit’s welfare. It could be an exacting spiritual practice which gives peace or serenity; it could be as simple as encouraging us to go to the beach and play Frisbee. Childish fun and playfulness can be as satisfying to the soul as hours of meditation or self-help therapies.

In the Angel Oracle the Guardian Angels represent the different stages of development we pass through in our lives. They stand as a symbol for the passages we will make as we mature and develop along our path. We can tap into these Guardians for guidance and help whenever we are stuck or blocked in our lives. They love and cherish us unconditionally. They are available for help at any time we open ourselves to accept their Divine presence.
