It is extraordinary how some of the latest and most dramatic scientific discoveries substantiate the basic premise of Astrology.Skeptics always assumed that the gulf between astrological lore and scientific fact would widen with time, but the opposite is happening.It is not  that

the two are coming closer together;they will always remain at opposite poles.But the correspondences between them, the hitherto invisible lines of longitude like those that connect our earthly north and south poles, are now being  revealed.It is a fantistic and exciting story.

The basis of Astrology is that the universe, like the Earth will live on, is a whole and that there is a correlation between what goes out there and human experience.It maintains that when a massive body, such as a star like our Sun, or the planets of the Moon,changes position, it produces an effect on the rest of the system.This is not disputed by science.The effects are not all observable  or measurable, though every school child has heard of some that are.The phases of the Moon, for instance, control the tides in association with the position of the Sun. But some effects are liable to raise scientific eyebrows, and perhaps blood pressures, even though they are undeniable. Correlated with the movements of the Moon, the Sun and the tides are the breeding cycles and habits of fish, which, in turn, are correlated with the economics of the fishing industry and the prosperity of those engaged in it.This is an oversimplification, a generalization;there is no need to belabor it. But it does make a point:the correlations with this one fact are virtually infinite.Correlations can obviously be found for everything.There are no islands in the universe.

The scientific and astrological views of the universe diverge at thepoint where man enters.Astrology includes the individual in the system. Science, surprisingly,does not-accept as astatistic.Astrology says without equivocation that the individual`s personality and behaviour are influenced by the interaction of the massive solar bodies, particularly at the moment of his or her birth.The conventional scientificmind says:"Definetly not".And then science announces the kind of brilliant discovery-which shall be discussed shortly-that just about reaches across the gulf to the outstretched hand of Astrology.
